The Universe. Some scratches of Beryllium. Diving. The Navel of the Galaxies. Maybe god. Maybe the void. Maybe you. Maybe it's just cryptical

Constellation: Crater (The Cup)
Mood: Trippy
Song: Super Massive Black Hole * Muse

I've completed my first year at work. When I first came in, I never thought I'd managed to work in the promotion of Arab Independent Cinema. That title alone frightened me. And here I am now, working on this project, organizing Arab Film Weeks, watching Arab films that I didn't even know would exist.

Needless to say, an interesting experience for a journalism graduate. So many new people, places and events. And on top of that, films.
I chose the Crater constellation for the celebration. Some white wine or aromatic champagne woulen't hurt. According to wikipedia,

"In Greek mythology, a crow/raven serves Apollo, and is sent to fetch water, but it rests lazily on the journey, and after finally obtaining the water in a cup,
takes back a water snake as well, as an excuse. According to the myth, Apollo saw through the fraud, and angrily cast the crow, cup, and snake, into the sky.

The origin of this story is likely to be the juxtaposition of this constellation with those of Corvus (constellation), and Hydra (Constellation), in the area of the sky known as the Sea."

I was supposed to make a 'Loneliness' setlist to go with my previous post, but since it's celebration time, and I don't do that much often, here are the songs that make me bounce when I listen to them back to back.
If you don't know them, I encourage you to track them and have a listen.

01. Not David Bowie (Tori Amos) – from A Piano – the collection [2006]

"Now you want to steal the thoughts
that I haven’t even thought
and it is what it is
how bout your soul made a pact with the Devil
but needs a date with the surgeon
and it is what it is"

02. John the Revelator (Depeche Mode) – from the album Playing the Angel [2005]

"By claiming God as his only rock
He's stealing a god from the Israelite
Stealing a god from a Muslim, too
There is only one god through and through"

03. Supermassive Black Hole (Muse) – from the album Black Holes and Revelations [2006]

"(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked
into the supermassive"

04. Limp (Fiona Apple) - from the album When the Pawn... [1999]

"So call me crazy, hold me down
Make me cry; get off now, baby-
It won't be long till you'll be
Lying limp in your own hand"

05. Lullaby (The Cure) – from the album Disintegration [1989]
"And I feel like I'm being eaten
By a thousand million shivering furry holes
And I know that in the morning I will wake up
In the shivering cold"
